I hope I am doing this right; I have never tried one of these lists
before.

I have used Arista film for a little over a year with good results,
mostly the 125 asa which I shoot at EI 100, though lately I've mostly
been using APX 100 8x10 film.  I've never used the Ilford to compare it
with but it seems to be good film and is certainly cheap!  For 8x10 the
Agfa is the same price though, more or less.

I also use a Wollensak 12" telephoto on my Speed Graphic and have not
found it to be "soft" at all.  I wonder why people on this list think it
is soft?  I do have an old portrait lens that has variable softness but
it is not a telephoto lens but an 8x10 12" lens.
