[Largeformat] Mike Degrow !!

From: "Ken Hough" <k4sb@niia.net>

Its a Tessar design. Pre WW II to about 1945. Then it became the 12 in 4.5 Raptar, Coated
of course.
Are the cells clear ? Or has the rear element started to decement ?
BTW the Betax And Alphax are the same "under the skin" .
Clean the glass and shoot it. I used one (uncoated) for years and never had a problem.
Another version of this lens the front element have a scale around it that allows you to pick
an amount of softness by slightly unscrewing the front element.
The specs are:
Film size 8x10, FL=12 / 305mm Available in Barrel and Betax
Ken

> OK, Ken, here it is: The lens says that it's a Wollensak Velostigmat
> Series II F4.5 Focus 12" no. 245076. The lens, itself, is 3" across and
> is mounted on a Wallensak Betax no. 5. Any thoughts?
