[Largeformat] RE: Welcome to Largeformat@onelist.com

Hi Randle,

I don't think you will regret making the move, assuming of course that you
are patient and can carry gear like a mule!

I use a 90mm super angulon on a Sinar F. I am an outside shooter myself and
while the F may not be as portable as a field camera, you just can't beat
the movements! I know nothing about the Calumet other than it is
inexpensive and offers a reasonably affordable way in to the format.

What I do know about the 90mm lens is perhaps more useful - make sure the
camera will accept a bag bellows! A 90 is not the best focal length to
learn about movements! Things are just too tight. Unless you have a very
compact and flexible accordian bellows, you will be S.O.L with the 90mm!
Check this out before you buy.

But do they share the same fascination with fire hydrants ;-) ???
