RE: [Largeformat] CFH Apron
From: "Ron Landucci" <ron@proformasystems.com>
Frank,
I'm the guy you met recently down in Death Valley. I'm please to hear your
8x10 shot of Badwater turned out so well. Regarding the gear you saw me
with, it's made by a guy here in Colorado. His company is Kinesis. Go
check out his stuff on his website: http://www.kinesisgear.com/. This
system worked great for me on that recent shoot. It allowed me to carry
about 20 more 4x5 CFHs than I would normally have room for in my F64 pack.
Once I reached my destination, I'd wrap the belt around the tripod. That,
together with that tripod apron I showed you, really made for a nice
waist-level pseudo-table, especially when I was out on the dunes.
Kindest regards,
Ron Landucci

I am familiar with the apron like item that Fred Picker made popular through
Zone VI to carry CFH.
When I was at a recent shoot, a guy from Colorado used a similar product.
It consisted of a wide nylon belt with a modular style of things hanging off
it using plastic clips... A "pocket" for CFH being the one I remembered.
I think there was also a meter "Pocket".
Does anyone in the Colorado area know the manufacturer of these ? It is
supposed to be a photographer type that found a need and is making the
product, sort of a year 2000 Jim Domke.
