I had some holders get pretty dirty from working in the 'wrong' half of
the Water and Sewer Department.
<br>I used an emory board/nail file and ran it through the light trap area
to clean out the dirt, then a piece of card board from the back of a yellow
note pad dipped in solven to clean out the rails. I followed
that up by 'waxing the slides themselves with something called Diamond
Bright. A teflon based automotive paint sealant. I got it at the
hardware store, but here's a number 1 800 334 8388, incase it's hard to
find where you are. As an added bonus, it cut down on the static
the darkslides get.
