Who are they? It looks vaguely familiar, but...

I had a few minutes last night, so undid the set-screws (3/32") on one of
the end-caps, to look at the cross-section of the rail. Yup, it's as
simple as I thought. I don't have my notes with me, and I didn't have
proper measuring tools last night, but what I recall is that it's a simple
round of aluminum, 5/8" thick. The slot in the bottom is about 1/8" wide,
and 1/4" deep.

I'm not a machinist (and have no access to the needed tools), but I assume
the normal way to make such a thing would be to use square bar stock, cut
the dado, then lathe it to the proper roundness. So, it looks like a
half-hour job at most, for a small machine shop.

If I get more exact measurements, I'll let you know.
