Drew,
Thank you very much for the suggestions - they will be very useful and
exactly the sort of information that will help make the trip successful.
Am still firming up the plans for the trip and will now be having a closer
look at the map. From what you say I am guessing that if an ordinary hire
car is taken along the roads you suggest then it may well stay there for
while :-) Does the Valley of the Gods requure a 4WD?
Had a chat to Steve Grimes and he is sending out a batch of push-on holders
for anodising - they will not be ready in time even for shipping within the
USA. So will be holding filters over the 203mm Ektar. Have finished the
lens boards and now with a lick of black paint am all set for mounting a
90mm Angulon and the 203mm Ektar.
Better get on with the preparation.
