Clive,
I'd contact Mr. Grimes immediately, requesting that the filter adapter be
shipped to somewhere you know you'll be staying in Las Vegas, or wherever it
is you will be arriving in the US. Friends house, perhaps?
He is good (you know that), and may have the adapter you require
pre-manufactured. I would certainly not be surprised if this is the case.
He will also go out of his way to satisfy a customer.
