Hello Karl,

That's a very good question and one which really should be sorted by now.
Maybe it's the idea of freedom from any plans.....

Will be starting in Vegas and then heading out taking a meandering route
which will probably encompass Zion as I would like to get there again
before they ban cars and introduce shuttle buses.  Have a feeling that this
will happen after my trip but if anyone else knows the score currently then
it would be useful to know.

I may well take a route back through Flagstaff depending on time and
Phoenix is a place that I would like to visit. Please let me know a 'phone
number off the list and if I get to Phoenix will give you a bell.

Any suggestions gratefully received. There are far too many places to visit
in the short time I will be in the USA (two weeks). Am currently thinking
about ways to spend more time each year in a place which always feels like
home when I arrive.....
