Drew,

Thanks for the tip.  Will check out the prices when I arrive there.  Seems
as though the road to the Valley of the Gods is just about passable at this
time of year in a 2WD vehicle.  I know the risks - big ruts and reversing
for 5 or 6 miles :-)

Have been busy putting all the kit together in a pile and found that the
largest pile was film holders. Have substituted a few Grafmatics and it is
starting to look manageable now.

Am thinking about writing a travelogue during the trip which may go up at
http://www.f32.net  this site should also be at f32.org and f32.co.uk in
the next week or so - there's not much there at the moment and it will
depend on whether there are internet access points along the way.

Best purchase today was a plastic covered folding map of the US which can
be written on with dry wipe pens. Now that's useful technology - must be
derived from the space programme ;-)
