[Largeformat] Photo 101 - Class 24 - BTZS
Joshua's BTZS-type tubes are a great boon to processing B&W sheet
film
in regualar daylight and many LF artists use them to make perfectly
processed negatives.
His writings and pictures he posted before show you the product very
well.
Being cheap and cheerful, you can't beat it, and your hands don't
have
to touch any chemistry !
Jobo makes Expert Drums for sheetfilm. Fairly large tanks, that
resemble a revolver chamber (patented idea, so dont even think about
it). You can process 5 - 10 sheets of film at a time depending on
the
model drum.
In those Expert Drums, 4x5, 5x7 and 8x10 film is processed to
perfection. I use them a lot, mostly for E6 chrome processing and it
is remarkable how good a chrome can look when processed well... I
dont
bracket anymore either because it is so consistent.
Drums are a bit pricy around $200-250 street price so you got to do a
lot to get some mileage out of your hard earned money. For B&W work
you dont need the whole Jobo CPA or CPP processor because you can
roll
the Expert tank on the countertop.
If you do a few sheets of B&W a week, use the BTZS-type system, you
can't loose.
