[Largeformat] Re: Compur and Copal shutter
Also, just for peace of mind, Copal (shutters and large
commercial lab-size automatic color photo printers), Seiko (watches),
and Epson are all the same company.
I have several lf lenses Schneider and Nikon (yes Nikon), all modern
glass and indeed have Copal shutters. No problems with them so far.
There is a 3rd kind of shutter, the Prontor, which has models with
self-cocking shutter mechanisms and some way to set aperture and
shutterspeed from BEHIND the camera. I never needed those or looked
into them, but they are around.
