No...not true.   I have an image on my site at debold.com of a 
Vietnamese man who lives on a boat on the river.  I took the 
oppurtunity to question whether he or I was really better off.  The 
more we know, the more we are encumbered with that knowledge.

  Almost everyone on this list is a better technician than I am.  I 
have a set of routines I go through when I do a job that on most 
occasions will insure a technically successful shoot.  It is all 
habit by now.  However, I often want to know some technical thing 
which I do not and which I am sure all of you are much more aware. 
On the matter of lenses for instance, I do not know beans about one 
shutter compared to the other.  I know the ones I have give me good 
crips photographs and that is enough.

However, I regret that lack of knowledge evertime I hear you 
elucidate on different lenses and compare different camera bodies.

I am afraid I have gone down a very long and narrow tunnel....which 
is why I like this list.  It provides a little light.
