I'm an odd duck on this question:  both a Luddite and a futurist.  I write 
novels as well, and my second book was serialized on the Web -- except for 
the final part, which was written longhand.  I see no reason not to both 
embrace and lament new technology.  Tech is neutral:  how you employ it is 
what gives it aesthetic and ethical content.
